Fun, relaxed neighborhood bar

This is my kind of bar. Friendly, unpretentious, diverse crowd, reasonably priced drinks. This is the only gay bar in the downtown area, and as it turned out was only 3 blocks from my hotel. It was a great place to unwind on my own after a work conference. I will come back next time I'm in Milwaukee!

long happy hour

Strong drinks, cheap prices, good jukebox. This is it is one of the few gay Bars that actually has BECOME more popular in last 20 years

This Is IT says it all

I find this bar to be very inviting. It has 1 great and a few other good bartenders that work well to serve this customer (not in his 20's). The jukebox is great and the retro feel is authentic. Only 1 of 2 places I would go to in Milwaukee.

Was It Something I Did?

NO STARS would be the most appropriate rating. Apparently being older than 29 negates the possibility of being greeted, served or acknowledged at "This Is It." I went there on Thursday night at approximately 7:00 PM. There were many people in their twenties present at the bar, many females, and a bartender who would not acknowledge me or take an order for a bottle of beer. After standing at the bar unacknowledged for approximately six minutes, I simply left. I'm shocked that this is how a bar of any kind in Milwaukee, much less an advertised gay bar, treats a customer. If you are looking for the worst gay bar in Milwaukee, then This Is It.
