How wonderful it is to have a place to party at or just have a few cocktails away from the craziness of the Third Ward area. I was kindly introduced from the server, then introduced to the other patrons as well! So nice to be made welcome! Inexpensive cocktails w/their 2-4-1 daily special along with "Pool table, Dart Board, Video Games & Internet Jukebox kept me well entertained. The staff was super friendly & talkative! Other places just serve the cocktail to me, then go back to their little corner and ignor me as if I didn't fit in with the regular crowd. Not at City Lights! They actually asked me to move down, closer to other patrons so that I wasn't alone. I give them a mighty high rating for there initiative to make me feel welcome & right at home. I especially enjoy the fact that I can park my Harley Davidson out front w/out worrying about theft or vandalism. I heard that the owners are moving their private vehicles onto the street for the Motorcycle Club that meets at this bar weekly, that's impressive by anyone's standards. A BIG "CHEERS TO CITY LIGHTS CHILL" Thank You for being there!!!

A neighborhood bar that's laid-back and yet entertaining. Cocktails are fairly priced given the location with easy on/off interstate access. Street parking just like the other gay bars in Milwaukee with the exception of one/two. What I like best about the place is that it's in a "SAFE" location. The entertainment was "Great" on their last Underwear Party! Music is offered via internet jukebox which is the trend now a days. Cocktails where excellent!, and they offer "Great Daily Specials". The "Privatized Patio" was nicely covered with sunshine and umbrella tables along with picnic tables. The "U" shaped bar sets this place apart from everyone else as for a corner type bar, which makes it really nice to look at other patron's rather than looking at mirror's or the bar-back. I was entertained with friendly staff and what's more..,The bartender greet's me, then introduce's me to all the other patron's. They made me feel right at home, very welcome and appreciated! The crowd was mixed of all ages & mainly men-but there were a few women which doesn't bother me! Plenty of ways to be entertained; Pool Table, Dart, Video Games, Photobooth for those crazy and yet entertaining pic's that if the patron wishes can pin-up on the wall. No it's not a "Big" nite-club with huge dance floors that have a cover charge and highly priced drinks.., but it is a "Great Place" to go where as they say; you can let your hair down!

I don't know what to make of this place. I went there on a whim with some friends on a Saturday around 11pm and it was like a morgue! They have a sweet internet jukebox but the volume is set so low it's not worth the high price to play it. According to the bartender many genres of music are blocked as well. What's the point? They have a photo booth that is too expensive for what you get... a free shot of cheap house booze if you give them one of the photos. As a neighborhood bar, they're trying to hard be something they're not. Drinks are overpriced and although the bartender denied it, my shot of Jose Cuervo was definitely watered down. I don't recommend this place. The atmosphere stinks, and they water down their liquors. It's a definite RIP OFF.

Nothing fancy about the place just good o'l oldfashsioned atmosphere where people come to relax, party, enjoy themselves. Mixed groups, all ages, bi, gay, lesbian, straight. Packer game(s) beer bust/with sunday drink specials from open to close. They even offer free pool table & darts from noon to 7pm on Sundays. Excellent underwear parties once per month along with their Full Moon parties. Finally a place where I can go and be myself without having to kiss up to someone's ass! No problem parking, same as most bars, street parking, but within a secure neighborhood. I'm an out of towner, & have visited other places in the Metro Milwaukee Gay community & received rotten treatment from the owner(s).
