It is with immense pleasure and excitement, that we announce that HAPPY is an Official Selection of the 2016 MKE Film Festival!
As a 25 year resident of Milwaukee, it is no small thrill that my directorial debut has been chosen to be a part of this prestigious festival. It is with immense pleasure and excitement, that we announce that HAPPY is an Official Selection of the 2016 MKE Film Festival!
As a 25 year resident of Milwaukee, it is no small thrill that my directorial debut has been chosen to be a part of this prestigious festival. There will be a total of 4 screenings, on 4 different days at The Downer, The Oriental, and The Fox Bay, providing many opportunities to see HAPPY on the big screen!
There will be ONE evening showing, on September 30th at the Downer Theater, 7pm. The film runs 1hr 17min, and will be followed by a Q&A with myself, Leonard Zimmerman (the film's subject), as well as my Cinematographer Denton Adkinson and my Editor, Derek Degenhardt.
My team and I are sort of looking at this screening as our "Milwaukee Premiere". I will however, be present at all 4 screenings, and there is a scheduled Q&A after each one!
If you're unable to attend the Friday night screening at The Downer, consider these other 3 options:

It is truly humbling that after a record 249 submisssions by Wisconsin filmmakers, HAPPY is one 10 films selected for MKE Film's special Cream City Cinema Program, placing HAPPY in compettiton for the Cream City Cinema Award.
